School Council

At St Peter’s we are very proud of our school council. It is run and led by children who take an active role in making decisions and suggestions on behalf of everyone in the school. Each class from Year one to Year six have a school council representative who meet regularly every Wednesday lunchtime to talk about any pressing issues and to plan events and fund raisers. Our aim is to make the school a happier place and to give each child a voice.  We achieve this through regularly updating our classes with any ideas that we have and by always asking for their thoughts and opinions. We look forward to making a difference to our school and others’ in the community and elsewhere this year.

To date, we have organised :

  • Samaritan’s Purse shoe boxes providing gifts last Christmas to children less fortunate than ourselves
  • ‘Anti Bullying Week’
  • Fundraising for Typhoon Haiyan through a cake sale
  • 'Worry Boxes’ for each class in the school

We are planning on…

  • Developing our outdoor nature trail area
  • Fundraising for ‘Jack’s Wishes’
  • Creating wet play boxes for each class
